MIL-KABEL-SYSTEMS is the experienced expert in the field of cable assemblies for ribbon cables. We assemble insulation displacement connectors / IDC connectors of the suppliers Erni, 3M, FCI, Harwin, Harting, JST, Odu, Samtec, Molex and Tyco/TE Connectivity to 10 to 64 pole ribbon cables. Color-coded ribbon cables, gray ribbon cables, shielded ribbon cables and unshielded ribbon cables in the pitches 0.635 mm, 1.00 mm, 1.27 mm, 2.00 mm, 2.50 mm and 2.54 mm are processed. We also offer ready-to-use cable assemblies with flat round cables and flat ribbon twisted pair cables. The assembly processes include cutting to length, pressing, punching, splicing, crimping and soldering of the individual contacts.
Application areas IDC/flat ribbon cable assemblies
IDC/flat ribbon cables are used wherever multicore cables have to be accommodated in a small space. The flat cable structure of flat ribbon cables is created by several cores that are connected with a bar in such a way that a flat cable structure is created. In most cases, post connectors with strain relief clamps are then assembled on both sides and ferrites are mounted if desired. But also the variant mullion connector - platinum connector is often requested by us.
The ribbon cables we assemble are used in the automotive, aerospace, medical, military, mechanical engineering, traffic engineering and telecommunications industries.
