Ribbon cable assemblies / IDC

MIL–KABEL–SYSTEMS assemble IDC connectors of the manufacturers 3M, Erni, FCI, Harting, Harwin, JST, Molex, Odu, Samtec and Tyco / TE connectivity to 10 to 64-pin ribbon cables. We assemble grey ribbon cables, colour coded ribbon cables, unshielded ribbon cables and shielded ribbon cables into the grids of 0.635 / 1.00 / 1.27 / 2.00 / 2.50 / 2.54 mm. We also offer complete cable assemblies of twisted-pair ribbon cables and flat round cables. The processing includes cutting, , punching, splicing, pressing, soldering and crimping of single contacts.

Areas of application IDC / ribbon cable assemblies
IDC ribbon cables are used, where multi-strand cables need to be installed in a small space. The flat design of ribbon cables is created by several strands, connected with a bridge so that a flat structure is the result. They are mostly assembled with double-sided post connectors with strain relief clamps. Ferrites are mounted on request. But also the variation post connectors – PCB connectors is often required.
